Special Delivery In Nottingham

Nanny Webster had good news. She and her husband were finally expecting a new addition to the family. After years of trying to conceive, the Websters were about to become new parents. They owned a small cottage on the outskirts of Nottingham that included a white picket fence, rabbits in the yard and an extra room that was perfect for the new nursery.

Bob Webster, Nanny's husband, worked as a maritime lawyer. He often had to travel overseas in his line of work. Bob became concerned that Nanny might need to get to the hospital on her own during his absence. There was only one problem, Nanny didn't know how to drive. Bob figured the time was right for Nanny to learn how to drive just in case. He could leave her the car and she could drive herself to Brighton Memorial Hospital. The hospital was only 3 kilometers away.

Nanny Can't Drive And Takes Lessons

Driving lessons for Nanny began bright and early Sunday morning. Bob decided to drive Nanny to Granger Park where there was plenty of room and no people or traffic around to make Nanny nervous. The first lesson after showing his wife how to operate the key and move the gear shift would be how to drive in reverse. Nanny was a nervous wreck and began pressing down on the accelerator with gusto. She shoved the gearshift into reverse at full throttle sending herself, Bob and the car across the corn field and into Granger Creek. The car was totally wrecked. After finding a farmer to give them a lift home, Bob received the news that he was needed in Singapore for the next 10 days. Bob had to leave Nanny home alone.

Bob Webster Leaves Town On Business

Nanny was now all by herself at home and expecting a baby. Luckily, Mr. Hatfield lived just down the lane. Mr. Hatfield was a quiet old man. He didn't have any family and the only way he got around the village was by bicycle. Nanny knew that Mr. Hatfield could still drive, however. She had seen him driving a loorie last week.

Nanny And Mr. Hatfield Go To The Auto Dealership

Nanny felt terrible about crashing the car into Granger Creek. She came up with the idea of buying Bob a new car, but how would she get it home? Nanny decided to call on old Mr. Hatfield to see if he could come with her to buy Bob a new car. Mr. Hatfield agreed. He called his friend, the lorry driver, then Nanny and Mr. Hatfield were given a ride to the auto dealership and dropped off.

Special Delivery Of More Than A Car

Mr. Hatfield and Nanny were greeted by a nice salesman who showed them around the dealership. Nanny picked out a nice sedan that she was sure her husband, Bob, would like. The salesman gave permission and they bought temporary car insurance cover from here for Mr. Hatfield to drive the car home. On the way home, Nanny's unborn baby had a different idea. Mr. Hatfield and Nanny made it to the hospital just in time to deliver a new son into the Webster family. A short term policy from this website had saved the day.
